My BeadCreator Pro Experience

I would like to start off by saying that BeadTool would not exist if it were not for my experience with BeadCreator Pro. I must also say that the following article expresses my opinion and experiences with BeadCreator Pro beading software.

I was asked by my mother to find her a program that would let her both design and convert photographs to bead patterns. In my search, I couldn't find anything that I liked. Most of them didn't offer a free download so that I could try it before purchasing. She decided to go ahead and purchase BeadCreator Pro for $69 in good faith.

When the BeadCreator Pro CD arrived the mail almost 2 months after the purchase, I installed it. Both my mother and I found it very difficult to use. I would never pay almost $70 for a program that can't be evaluated first.

I had no idea how to start designing with BeadCreator Pro because I regretfully had not read the 47 page user manual. Should one need to read such a lengthy manual in order to just start a pattern?

I decided that I could do a much better job of making an application that would allow me to design bead patterns. Not only would my program take a more natural approach & be fast but would be easy to use. This project started out as a personal project out of frustration but soon came to be what I thought was good enough to make available to the public.
